I began my journey on Medium in January 2021 which seems a lifetime ago but is barely two years.

So how did it all begin?

A family member recommended the platform as a way of getting my writing out there and it sure did the trick. I wrote and read and absorbed everything I possibly could. I went down so many rabbit holes that I had forgotten which one I went down and why I headed there in the first place.

It’s been a ball and a blast. I have met so many great people: writers, readers and editors, and it has, without a doubt, catapulted my writing into another stratosphere.

What was my goal?

My main aim was to write a full-length novel. Some may argue that Medium is not the ideal platform to do that but writing regularly on the platform was like the best self-help teaching course ever. Sure, it cost me $5 a month, but I more than covered that with…
